Super 14 prediction game
Mon, 30 Mar 2009 12:00
After the heady heights of last week, a number of the punters in our Super 14 prediction game fell off the pace quite dramatically over the weekend! To be fair it was a tough round to call and the players duly suffered...
But with the half-way mark in the competition now reached time is not on the side of those at the bottom end of the standings, so a rapid turnaround will be needed!
Remember, each week you need to predict the outcome of each of the matches, AS WELL AS THE POINTS MARGIN, and then we'll sit back and see who knows best!
The following Monday we tally up the points and find out if our sports team are rugby gurus or false prophets...
At the end of May we will have our final winner, who will hold the bragging rights until the Southern Hemisphere showpiece rolls around again in 2010!
Unfortunately we can offer you nothing more than bragging rights, but we're sure that will be enough to lure you in!
NB! Only your first entry will be counted and entries must be made before the first game every Friday! The scoring works as follows:
If you predict the correct winning team in a match you get one point for that match.
If you have predicted the winner and your predicted margin is within five points of the actual margin you get a bonus point.
If you predict the wrong winning team, you get no points ? even if your margin is close
Any player who gets a full-house ? seven or six correct predictions, depending on the number of games that week ? will get five bonus points for that week.
See, simple as that! Now get playing!
