CSA voice Botha concerns

Cricket South Africa CEO Gerald Majola expressed disappointment following the reporting to the International Cricket Council by the match umpires during Monday's 61-run victory over Australia of Proteas' off-spinner Johan Botha for a suspect bowling action.
Botha's regular ball is not under suspicion, but whenever he bowls his "doosra" or faster ball there is a suspicion that he exceeds the amount of flex legal.
"This is disappointing as Johan was cleared after working very hard on his action following the ICC finding fault before. CSA will stand by the ICC rules and procedures and we hope that there can be finality to the new set of tests that will follow this report by the umpires and that the decision will be made known before the ICC T20 World Trophy in England next month. "
"Johan will be eligible for selection for the final MTN ODI against Australia on Friday in Johannesburg," Majola said.
Botha took 1-48 in South Africa's 61-run victory on Monday and the International Cricket Council announced on Tuesday that two on-field umpires, Brian Jerling and Asoka de Silva, and third
umpire Rudi Koertzen expressed their concerns.
Botha was suspended in February 2006 for a month for an illegal bowling action after an independent report identified excessive levels of straightening in both his off-break and doosra.
The doosra is held by the bowler in the same way as for an off spinner, but Pakistan's Saqlain Mushtaq and Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan have bamboozled batsmen by turning the delivery into a leg break.
After being suspended, Botha underwent remedial action and was re-tested. His action at that time was found to be legal and he was able to resume playing international cricket.
The ICC said Botha will now undergo independent analysis of his action by a member of the ICC's panel of human movement specialists.
If he is found to have been bowling with an illegal action he will be suspended from bowling in international cricket with immediate effect.
