Delhi smash Wayamba

Australian bowler Dirk Nannes took 4/24 as the Delhi Daredevils cruised to a 50-run victory over Wayamba in their Champions League match in Delhi on Sunday

Set a target of 165 ? thanks largely to the efforts of Daredevils star Virender Shewag ? Wayamba lost half their batsmen within the first eight overs.

Mahela Jayawardene (53 of 40 balls) tried in vain to lift the Sri Lankan champions, but found no support from his team-mates and Nannes and veteran seamer Glenn McGrath took control.

Earlier, Sehwag smashed 61 off just 42 balls to help his side recover from the early loss of Tillakaratne Dilshan (10) and captain Gautam Gambhir (3).

Chanaka Welegedara was the pick of the Wayamba attack, with 2/22.
