Proteas veteran Jacques Kallis led the Royal Challengers Bangalore to a 80-run victory over the Otago Volts in their Champions League Twenty20 match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Monday.
The result sent Otago crashing out of the tournament after two losses.
Kallis was the headline act in a complete performance by the home team as he contributed with the bat, and then the ball, to dismantle Otago.
Batting first, the South African all-rounder hammered a fantastic 73 off just 59 balls to lead Bangalore to an impressive total of 188/2.
Kallis then delivered with the ball, reducing Otago to 32/3 with some inspired bowling, before finishing with figures of 3/18 off four overs. Bangalore captain Anil Kumble chipped in with two wickets as the visitors were bundled out for 108.

Got something to say?
