Deccan Chargers were knocked out of the Champions League T20 after losing by three runs to Trinidad & Tobago on Wednesday.

Chasing a target of 150 ? after keeping T&T to 149/7 in their knock ? the Chargers lost two quick wickets to Dwayne Bravo, but then skipper Adam Gilchrist smashed a 36-ball 51 to put his team on the front foot before he was caught by a diving Kieron Pollard on the boundary.

At 125/5 the Chargers were well on their way to a victory with Scott Styris and Venugopal Rao looking good, but when Styris got himself run out, he was followed soon after by Rao and the IPL team were left staring into the abyss.

The tail was never able to cope with the bowling of Bravo and Lendl Simmons, losing three wickets for just 16 runs in the final three overs.
