Kieron Pollard led Trinidad & Tobago to a four-wicket victory over New South Wales in the Champions League T20 on Friday.

Pollard smashed an unbeaten 54 off just 18 balls to ensure the win.

It could have been very different after the West Indians found themselves with an uphill battle, chasing 171 they were struggling on 118/6 needing 53 runs off 23 deliveries.

Pollard took a particular liking to medium pacer Moises Henriques smashing the unfortunate bowler for 27 in the 17th over. Henriques was then put in to bowl the second last over and Pollard tore into him again, smashing the 16 runs required off the first three deliveries of the over.

Earlier, NSW openers Phil Hughes and David Warner laid the foundations for their side with a 121-run partnership, but Sherwin Ganga did well to peg the run-rate back before Dwayne Bravo hit back with three wickets in his final over.

Had it not been for Bravo the target may have been more formidable.
