Proteas captain Graeme Smith will return to action in a club match this weekend.

It will be his first competitive cricket since he scored his marathon century for the Proteas against England at the ICC Champions' Trophy tournament at SuperSport Park last month.

He will turn out for Rygersdal against Bellville in a WPCA limited overs fixture.

"I had my first net since the ICC tournament on Monday," commented Smith, who has been concentrating on ongoing rehabilitation and strengthening exercises for the last few weeks.

"It went very well and I am looking forward to getting back into the middle again.

"I have a lot of friends playing at Rygersdal which is why I opted to play for that club," he added.
