The Cape Epic, one of the most popular cycling races in the southern hemisphere, is renowned for being extremely difficult to partake in due to entries being awarded via a lottery system. Each year eager cyclists await the crucial email which tells them the outcome of their entry and once June 30 passes, all those without entries are forced to wait another year and hope that their turn will come.
The outcome of the Cape Epic 2010 entries have been finalised but Alliance Group, in conjunction with Motorex, will be offering two cyclists the chance to still take part in this epic race – all in the name of charity!
An auction is being held online whereby one lucky bidder will win a team entry for two cyclists. Proceeds of the auction will go to the Reach for a Dream Foundation. The foundation fulfils the dreams of children between the ages of 3 and 18 who have been diagnosed as having a life-threatening illness by a medical practitioner.
Comments Ariella Kuper of Alliance Group, "After the stellar online bidding success of the City Hall charity auction in June, we could not refuse such a worthy cause and fun project. We anticipate huge interest based the unique offering of the prize."
Visit www.oneluckyperson.co.za to submit your bid and stand a chance to take part in one of Africa’s greatest races. Bidding closes at 12 noon on the 21st of September.
