They again provide the bulk of our starting XV and a number of players also in our back-up squad.

Province have six members in our starting XV, double the number of the second best team, the Cheetahs. The Leopards, Blue Bulls (two each), Sharks and Griquas (one each) make up the numbers.

The selection for the Bubbling under XV is spread across the board - three each from the Leopards and Griquas, two each from the Bulls, Lions, Cheetahs and Western Province, with the 15th member coming from the Sharks.

A third of our team from last week return - centre Juan de Jongh (Western Province), scrumhalf Michael Bondesio (Leopards), flank Francois Louw (Western Province), lock Chris Jack (Western Province) and hooker Adriaan Strauss (Free State Cheetahs).

15 - Hennie Daniller (Free State Cheetahs):
He may not always be the most consistent, but when on song he can produce some sublime rugby and scintillating moments.

It is great to see the huge amounts of young talent coming through in this year's Currie Cup. He is another with huge amounts of speed.

We have said so much about him already this season. Another product of the highly successful Varsity Cup competition.

12 - Basil de Doncker (Leopards):
After struggling for years - first at the Lions, then the Elephants and now Leopards - to make his mark, he has finally lived up to the promise he once showed when he played for South Africa Under-19 back in 2002.

11 - Gio Aplon (Western Province):
We can just say he is a 'hot stepper', but he is so much more - a classy player allround.

10 - Burton Francis (Blue Bulls):
He did not have the most auspicious start to the season, but he has come into his own in the last few weeks. He is taking giant strides towards cementing his place as Morne Steyn?s adjutant at the Bulls.

9 - Michael Bondesio (Leopards):
In a country blessed with quality scrumhalves, it is tough to stand out above the crowd. He has certainly done so in the last few weeks.

He has Springbok written all over him. Just a pity he is behind Pierre Spies in the queue.

7 - Duane Vermeulen (Western Province):
Sometimes you need brawn and sometimes you need brains. He supplies both. He has a bright future.

6 - Francois Louw (Western Province):
Probably his best game of the season and what a game to produce it in. Often the unsung hero of the loose trio.

5 - Jacques Lombaard (Griquas):
It may be the Currie Cup and the opposition not always as good, but he has a bit of both Victor Matfield and Bakkies Botha in him.

4 - Chris Jack (Western Province):
The fans in Cape Town can't sing his praises enough, so if any Kiwi wants to be liked in SA - take a leaf out of Jack's book, play Currie Cup rugby. Oh, yes, of course he has to perform.

3 - WP Nel (Free State Cheetahs):
One swallow does not a summer make. But one swallow may well announce the imminent arrival of summer. If more Cheetahs follow this young man's example they will be a force in the play-offs.

2 -Adriaan Strauss (Free State Cheetahs):
He is now showing why he became a Springbok. This robust hooker may well find himself back in the Green and Gold club in the not too distant future.

There are many very descriptive ways to explain exactly what he did to Bulls prop Werner Kruger, but some of those words can't be repeated in print. Suffice to say that Kruger saw his behind without a mirror.
