With just one more festive match of the year-end season ahead of us, we have decided that now is a good time for iafrica.com to name our famous Top 15 players for the month of November.

It is not surprising that the team is dominated by the only unbeaten team - New Zealand. There are six All Blacks in out Top 15 selection.

South Africa had a disappointing year-end tour, but a few individuals stood out, giving them three members. Then there are Ireland (two), France (two), Argentina and Italy (one each) top make up the numbers.

The iafrica.com November XV:

15 Rob Kearney (Ireland):

The Irish fullback showed his class in not only dealing with the numerous air raids from the Springboks, but his all-round game showed the exceptional qualities that makes him the standout player he is. Obviously strong competition from All Black star Mils Muliaina.

14 Cory Jane (New Zealand):

This was a tough call, with lots of heated debate. However, in the end Jane won our vote based on his performance in the All Blacks' five-try shutout of France. Look at his chip-'n-chase score if you want to see what we mean. But it was a photo finish in which the others made strong claims to a call-up.

13 Conrad Smith (New Zealand):

Another selection that caused some heated debate - and no doubt will continue to be debated for some time. There is no doubting that Brian O'Driscoll and Conrad Smith have special qualities, as do Jaque Fourie. But Smith's role in ensuring the All Blacks did not concede a single try in November meant he sneaked ahead of his rivals.

12 Yannick Jauzion (France):

He was not only the best inside centre on display - even though a case be made for some of the others - but he was one of the few shining lights in an otherwise dull French performance against a dominant All Black team.

11 Sitiveni Sivivatu (New Zealand):

He went through a slump at times this year, but like the rest of his teammates regained his zest for the game and some sublime form. But there was strong challenges from a number of quality wings.

10 Dan Carter (New Zealand):

Simply the best, no question.

9 Fourie du Preez (South Africa):

Like most positions there was debate and a lot of disagreement, but the majority vote won.

8 Juan Fernandez Lobbe (Argentina):

The Pumas may have struggled for wins, but Lobbe was consistently one of the standout players.

7 Richie McCaw (New Zealand):

His selection was unanimous. Need we say more?

6 Heinrich Brüssow (South Africa):

In a Springbok team that was woeful for most of November, he was not only the most consistent, but also the standout player.

5 Paul O'Connell (Ireland):

Like McCaw, there was no question about this position.

4 Bakkies Botha (South Africa):

His absence in the Test against Ireland illustrated his true value to the team - or as they say: 'You don't know what you have until it is no longer there.'

3 Martín Castrogiovanni (Italy):

Much has been said about the improvement shown by the Australian scrum, and the qualities of Benn Alexander, but for pure destructive scrumming power and the quality of his all round game there is none better than Castrogiovanni.

2 Andrew Hore (New Zealand):

More debate, more differences and again the majority vote won. This was another close call.

1 Fabian Barcella (France):

It may not have been unanimous, but the vote count was pretty overwhelming in favour of one of the true stars in a quality French team.
