Former Ryder Cup player Ignacio Garrido of Spain double bogeyed the final hole to hand England's Steve Webster a one-shot lead after the third round of the Czech Open on Saturday.

Garrido had edged ahead with a hat-trick of birdies from the 12th and then an eagle on the 553 yard 16th, but his last hole horror allowed joint overnight leader Webster to regain top spot with a 69.

"The last was a pity," said Garrido, chasing a first title in six years.

"I didn’t hit a good tee shot but many times you can hit that shot and then still make the green with a nine iron but the lie was so tough that I couldn’t move it.

"It was incredible. I had to hit it 30 or 40 yards and it’s difficult to control from that tough rough and not hit it 80 yards. It didn’t come out and then I had the same lie again."

Webster birdied the first, second and eighth in turning in 33 but then suffered the setback of a bogey six on the tenth.

Storm, who shared the halfway lead with Webster, shot 70 while fellow Englishman Sam Little (70) and Northern Ireland's Gareth Maybin (68) are fourth on nine under.
