Reports from Beijing indicate that all is not well in the South African Paralympic camp.

Speaking in an interview on Radio 702, sprinting star Oscar Pistorius criticised sports' ruling body, Sascoc, saying Team South Africa had not yet received their training and competition kit. He said the players had also signed a petition against their outfits for the opening ceremony.

A Sascoc source confirmed that the team's kit has not yet left South Africa for China. The Paralympic Games begins on Saturday.

Pistorius also claimed that athletes, many of whom are on crutches and in wheelchairs, have to travel nearly two kilometers to buy refreshments because management has not yet handed out the necessary coupons.

"The team is not happy," said Pistorius.

The man dubbed the 'bladerunner' says team South Africa is not happy.

However, Chef de Mission Les Williams, speaking from Beijing, did not mention any problems.
