Spain's world number one Rafael Nadal insists that Argentina will be favourites when the two nations clash in the Davis Cup final in Mar del Plata from November 21-23.

"When you play away from home, your opponents are always favourites," said Nadal.

"History shows that when you play the Davis Cup at home, it allows you to considerably improve your chances of winning."

Spain have won the Davis Cup on two occasions while Argentina have lost both finals in which they have appeared.

However, this will be the first time they have staged the title match.
