Turkish giants Galatasaray have announced that they have signed Brazil midfielder Elano from Manchester City on a four-year deal.
The 28-year-old attacking midfielder had been linked with a move away from Eastlands this summer, but a switch to Turkey will come as surprise news as the Milan clubs - AC and Inter - were previously believed to be leading the race for his signature.
However, Gala have claimed in a statement on their website that they have secured a deal for Elano, who joined City two years ago in an #8-million move from Shakhtar Donetsk.
He scored six goals in 28 Premier League appearances last season.
The Istanbul club are hoping to unveil Elano to the Turkish press on Friday.
