Free State Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske believes the outcome of week's clash against the Griquas in Kimberley will have a significant impact on the teams' Currie Cup campaign.
The Cheetahs thrashed Boland 59-8 last weekend but Drotske has identified a few areas that need improvement ahead of the Griquas clash.
According to Drotske there is no such thing as an easy game in Kimberley
"It died in the 1800's already," Drotske told Volksbald.
"We have something to fix and the guys realise that. If we want to stay in the race this will be the most important game of the season."
While Drotske is pleased with his team's performance at the weekend he highlighted the line-out and the breakdown as two crucial areas to improve ahead of Saturday's clash.
"The line-outs was very weak, probably the worst this season. There was three occasions when we were five meters from their try line and could have scored mauling tries.
"The line-outs was the difference between two or three more tries."
The Cheetahs currently occupy sixth position on the Currie Cup standings with three wins from the seven outings.
Got something to say?
