BidVest Wits beat Swallows 2-0 in their Absa Premiership encounter at Dobsonville Stadium on Wednesday night and moved back into position two on the log with 13 points.

Both goals were scored in the first half. Calvin Kadi struck in the 11th minute and Mark Haskins scored the visitors' second goal on the half-hour mark.

After a pep talk from their coaches, the home side, Swallows, came back strongly trying to break their duck but the 'Students' maintained their composure throughout.

After Collins Mbesuma was sent off in the 70th minute, Swallows had little chance of staging a comeback.

From their seven games, the 'Beautiful Birds' have only registered seven points while the 'Students' have yet to register a loss but will have to maintain their form to catch Orlando Pirates who have opened up the gap with 17 points at the top of the table.
