The inclusion of veteran No.8 Rodney So'oialo is one of three changes to the All Black team to play the Wallabies in a Bledisloe Cup Test at the National Olympic Stadium, Tokyo, on Saturday.

All Black coach Graham Henry named the 60-Test veteran, So'oialo, at No.8, with Kieran Read moving onto the bench.

The other changes are in the backline, with Sitiveni Sivivatu and Conrad Smith returning from injury to take their positions on the left wing and centre respectively.

On the bench, Corey Flynn comes in as replacement hooker, with the uncapped Tamati Ellison covering the outside backs.

The team will again be captained by Richie McCaw, who will be playing in his 77th Test.

Henry said the side's historic first-ever Bledisloe Cup Test in Japan would be another massive challenge between two great rivals.

"Both sides will be looking to kick off their respective [year-end] tours with a strong performance so, as always, we are expecting there to be a lot of intensity and a real edge to this Test," he said.

Henry said the All Blacks were also enjoying the Test build-up in Tokyo.

"We have been welcomed with open arms by the Japanese people and the team is certainly enjoying the hospitality and culture here and looking forward to playing in front of the Japanese fans."

The game is just the second time a Bledisloe Cup Test has been played outside of Australia and New Zealand - following on from last year's successful trip to in Hong Kong, which the All Blacks won 19-14.

The All Blacks have played Australia 135 times since 1903 - with 91 wins to the All Blacks, 39 to Australia and five draws.

The All Blacks won the last Test against the Wallabies 33-6 in Wellington last month.

Meanwhile, Daniel Carter has scored 185 points against Australia and is closing in on Andrew Mehrtens' record of 202 points.
