Persistent rain resulted in the MTN40 match between the Titans and the Cape Cobras at Supersport Park on Friday being abandoned.

The rain started just after the Titans completed their 40 overs, in which they made 249 for eight.

Jacques Rudolph top-scored with 93, while Albie Morkel made 46 and AB de Villiers 31.

Sybrandt Engelbrecht was the hero for the Cape Cobras, taking three wickets for 39 runs. He also took three catches, including a superb catch off his own bowling.

The Titans will be in action again on Sunday, when they play the Eagles at Supersport Park, while the Cobras travel to East London, where they will meet the Warriors.
