Black Leopards assistant coach Joel Masutha says his team intends to hold on to the top of the National First Division Inland Stream until the end of the season.
Leopards currently lead the Inland Stream by two points following their victory against Batau FC over the weekend. In the nine games played so far, 'Lidoda Duvha' have won five game, drawn two and lost twice.
"We want to keep on winning constantly and build the momentum until the end. The two defeats were a wake-up call for us," Masutha told the Sunday Sun.
He added: "The first round was difficult but we managed to pull through. Some of the clubs were a closed book to us but we know what to expect now.
"It was tricky to plan for teams such as Winners Park because most of their players were still new.
Masutha attributes the sterling performance during the first round of the season to the management and the players.
"Every player in the team is fighting very hard to be in the starting eleven and that has helped the team to get good results," concluded Masutha.
