Two of Athletics South Africa?s board members, Chris Britz and Hendrik Mokganyetsi, have handed in their resignations.

Earlier this month Olympic body SASCOC suspended the entire board and several ASA senior managers.

The newly appointed administrator of ASA said his team would run day-to-day functions while and interim board was elected.

Ray Mali took over the reigns at ASA on Monday.

Mali met with ASA?s General Manager Molatelo Malehopo and staff to explain how the federation would move forward.

Mali said he spoke to ASA President Leonard Chuene over the phone but would meet with him soon.

He described Monday?s takeover as a smooth transition and was quick to add ASA?s programmes and initiatives would continue as normal.
