Platinum Stars will face KwaZulu-Natal opposition in the Absa Premiership for the second successive time when they take on Golden Arrows at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3.30pm).
Stars suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of AmaZulu in midweek, putting an end to their hopes of winning three successive league games for the first time this season.
'Dinaledi', as a result of the loss to 'Usuthu', have dropped to 11th place on the log with 19 points to their name from 17 matches.
Arrows will be looking for a second successive away win when they travel to Rustenburg, as they defeated Jomo Cosmos 1-0 in Johannesburg in midweek.
'Abafana Bes'thende' are now placed just outside the top half of the table in ninth place, having collected 22 points from 17 games.
The two teams have met 13 times in the top flight league, with Stars winning five games to Arrows’ three, though the coastal side has scored two more goals in
those encounters (18 to 16).
'Dinaledi' will certainly be hoping for a much better result than the corresponding game from last season, which saw suffer a record 6-0 defeat at the hands of 'Abafana Bes'thende'.
If the match between the sides from earlier this season is anything to go by then supporters in Rustenburg can expect a tight encounter, as Arrows and Stars played to a 1-1 draw in Chatsworth back in August.
