Mamelodi Sundowns coach Johan Neeskens admits he was delighted to see his former New York Cosmos team-mate Jomo Sono again following last week's Absa Premiership clash.
The Brazilians took on Sono's Jomo Cosmos in the PSL last Wednesday, and the coaches, who both played for American outfit NY Cosmos during the 1970s, enjoyed a few kind words after the match.
And Neeskens, who is currently gearing up for his side's home clash against Moroka Swallows this week, admits he thoroughly enjoyed catching up with his old friend.
"Jomo played a year there and I thought he was a very good player. A very attacking, skilful player who took players on, and he was also popular over there," Neeskens told Times Live.
"For a long time we didn't see each other and then two or three years ago we met again because Jomo was doing the Legends game for the Mandela Foundation [Sono coached the African XI in the 90 Minutes for Mandela charity match against a Rest of the World XI in Cape Town in 2007].
"Then I saw him again in Swaziland on our pre-season tour there a few weeks ago, and then on Wednesday it was delightful to see him again."
