The organisers of South Africa’s most exciting three day stage trail run, the AfricanX Trailrun, have announced a venue change for 2013 after hosting this much loved trail run stage race in Kleinmond for four consecutive years.  

Taking place the weekend of 19 - 21 April 2013, the grounds of the Houw Hoek Inn will be the home of this much loved trail run.

According to Michael Meyer, Director of Stillwater Sport & Entertainment, runners can look forward to a fun filled experience like no other at the 2013 AfricanX Trailrun.

"We are very excited by the venue change for 2013.  Our route building team has been hard at work scouting and building routes that depict the entire beauty of the Kogelberg (Biosphere) Reserve.  Runners are guaranteed to be awe-struck after each day’s stage," says Meyer.

Teamwork forms an essential part of the run, as participants will have to rely on each other’s experience, strength and expertise in order to complete the route.  

Teams of two (male/female/mixed) will be seen battling it out on a route varying in distance between 25-38km each day.  

The three routes have been planned in such a way that the participants will have the opportunity to tackle a different breathtaking scenic route each day, allowing them to enjoy the full beauty of the Overberg.
