The top-of-the-log Lions suffered their first loss of the season in a six-wicket defeat to the Knights in the Momentum One Day Cup on Friday.

The Lions elected to bat, but could only manage a miserly 250 for seven wickets in their allotted overs in Potchefstroom.

Rain interrupted play early in Knights' innings after six runs without a loss and 1.2 overs.

The target score was adjusted to 204 off 33 overs when play restarted and Knights won easily, posting a final score of 205 with six wickets in hand.

Michael Erlank's 66-run partnership with Obus Pienaar set the pace for a swift victory.

In Durban a partnership of 142 between Mangaliso Mosehle (118) and Henry Davids (63), meanwhile, could not prevent the Titans' four-wicket loss against the Dolphins.

The batting line-up came apart after their partnership ended, and the last nine wickets fell for a mere 98 runs. They were bowled out for 250 in 45.4 overs.

Imraan Khan's 101-run opening for Dolphins set the pace for a steady performance by the rest of the batting line, and the hosts took the match with four wickets to spare after 48.4 overs.

The Warriors steamrolled the Cape Cobras with a 76-run victory in East London, thanks to Basheer Walters' bowling which took three wickets for 23 runs. Wayne Parnell scored 62 off 64 balls for a final score of 262 for eight wickets in their allotted overs.

Richard Levi started off well for Cobras with 83, but the batting line imploded after he was caught out by Colin Ingram. Their innings ended with a dismal 186 runs.
