"); document.write("Mental toughness comes standard with Southern Hemisphere rugby. Think about it...The Heineken Cup in the NHem is a watered down version of the Super 14, yet the Super 14 teams all do an extreme amount of traveling which invariably makes the home team the favourite to win a match. But if the opponents have mental toghness to overcome the travelling, the hype, etc they have the capacity to upset their rivals.
What is so tough about getting in a plane and 30 minutes later you land in France to play Toulouse? If there was no water between the UK and France I could have driven there in an hour or three!

I would love to see at least two club sides from Argentina included in the Super 14 (16) and then to include them in a Four Nations tournament. Not only will it imrpove Argentina's game, but it will definitely enlarge the mental toughness of ALL sides in the Four Nations tournament by overcoming even more jet lag, time zones, conditions...etc.

My 2 cents worth anyway.... James"); document.write("

"); document.write("Hi Rob,
I couldnt agree more.
Although the game started over there at Rugby School, it is today far outshadowed by Soccer in general with really only the public schools playing rugger. So I see a slow but steady downward trend for the British sides.
However, I think that Italy will continue to improve because more members will be joining the rugby playing ranks and some of the British sides will have to watch out.
France will always be passionate about their rugby and I forsee a steady upward trend in their technical performances which will definitely place some of the British sides in jeapardy of losses to the Cockrels.
However, it will be a cold day in hell before they can consistently come up to the Southern Hemisphere standards. . Charles "); document.write("
