Many come back as better or rehabiliated players
"); document.write("You are correct that many players see out there last few seasons playing in France or the UK. However, there have been many instances of players spending a few seasons in the T14 (Heineken Cup etc.) and coming back to SA and performing better than they ever did. Monty being the best example of this. It is a blinkered apporach to try and stop these guys playing in what is a real melting pot with players from all over the world sharing ideas and experience. That they make a cartful of cash should not be resented. The administrators should b more understanding of this. The \"overseas baesed player\" arguement is a bit tired. If a player is objectively outstanding and clearly at the top of his game, why should it matter where he plays his rugby? In Europe, funnily enough, the arguement goes that \"foreign rugby mercenaries\" are depriving local yougsters of regular starts and consigning them to the bench or the lower leagues. There are moves afoot to limit the number of foreign players a club can have on its books. The professional game is still evolving and I predict that it will be many years before equilibrium between club/country and foreign/domestic will be attained.

I agree
"); document.write("Look at Stefan Terblanche. I wasn't a big fan of his, but he has really improved, same with Percy, he's in a different class. As long as they're allowed back in, I don't see a problem with letting them go overseas. It could only do SA Rugby good. The problem is pettiness, we should try and leave that out .... (yeah right).
