document.write("People forget it's 4 countries in one team playing against one team from one country like the Boks or the All Blacks.It still shows how much better we are compared to the northern hemisphere by having beaten the Lions more often than having lost against them.We (Boks,AB'S and Aussies)would have our own 'unbeaten 74 Lions team' EVERY 4 YEARS if we were to tour up North as a single team.Wouldn't thát now be nice to see??. document.write("Hey Rob,<br />Thanks for those tid bits of Lions history, most interesting stuff.<br />Also want to add a bit of history on this famous team of Rugby Britishers.<br />The British Rugby Union  team which came over here in 1891 ( Who were only later known as The Lions because of the emblem on their jerseys ) awarded a trophy at the end of that tour. It was awarded to Griqua`s as being the best competitor during that 20 match tour. The Trophy ? Yes! The Currie Cup.<br />I also wonder if any of our fellows can say they knew that \" Transvaal \" ( Now known as Golden Lions ) Were the only South African Provincial team ever to have beaten the British Lions and this all happened at Ellis Park ( Now Coca Cola Park ) in the late 60`s..
