But still the the poms are not happy. Big mouth O'Driscoll states it is \"a disgrace, a totally despicable type of act that puts children off playing rugby.\" <br />Graham Rowntree comments \"there is no excuse for gouging, it is utterly indefensible.\" <br />Yet when Alan Quinlan was banned for eye-gouging in the Heineken Cup semi-final Munster, who are captained by Lions captain Paul O'Connell, appealed his ban on grounds that \" the offence was at the \"low-range\" in terms of its seriousness level\" Their quote, not mine. The commissioner disagreed and upheld 12 weeks! Schalk's was reduced form 12 to 8 because of the official ruling above. <br />Why was Quinlan's appealed by Munster when Quinlan would not miss any Munster games nor would he miss any Irish games. He would only miss the Lions series. So Mr Lions & Munster captain O’Connell and Mr Ireland & Leinster captain O’Driscoll, which was worse and why the holier than thou attitude now? The Stormers lost because Gary Gold did what he did with the Boks in the second half of the 1st test and the first half of the 2nd test. He instructed the players to kick all their possesion away. Schalk was rightly banned and should have this increased indefinitely until such time as he sees fit to apologies to the Lions.
