The Southern Kings return from Argentina with an impressive win over the Jaguares in Buenos Aires.
Despite being at the forefront of the Super Rugby culling which is to be announced on Friday, the Kings will undoubtedly gain a boost of confidence if they defeat the Bulls in Pretoria this weekend.
Kings coach, Deon Davids has done exceptionally well in leading his team. According to sport24, the Southern Kings have won five of 13 matches including victories in Australia, Singapore and Argentina and a first ever triumph against the Sharks in Port Elizabeth.
Upon their return, Davids mentioned "We know that for this week it is important that we build progressively into Saturday.
"I hope that when we start the match on Saturday everyone will be well rested, energised and well-prepared so that we can be competitive against the Vodacom Bulls."
The focus has now shifted to Saturday’s match at Loftus Versveld, where Davids commented on the dynamics of the match by saying "The Bulls would have gained a lot of confidence from their win against the Sharks, and we expect a very tough game."
The Bulls have won just four of their 13 matches. A disastrous season will be solidified if they lose on the home soil to the Kings, says sport24.
"They are a very proud team with some quality players in their side, players that have been in tremendous form for our national sides, so we know that we also have to be on par in every aspect of the game to ensure that we can compete and put up a good performance against the Bulls. We are looking forward to an excellent game against them" Davids adds.
