After their victory over the Pumas in Port Elizabeth last week, the Springboks should confidently head to Salta this weekend.
Since 1993, in the 25 Tests played between these nations since, the Boks have won 22, lost two and drawn one.
Sport24 adds that since Argentina joined the Rugby Championship in 2012, “the teams have played 10 Tests, with South Africa winning seven, losing two and sharing the spoils once.”
South Africa will wear red when they play in Argentina to celebrate 25 years of rugby unity and hope to extend an encouraging four-victory start to the season.
This came after a disappointing debut season for coach Allister Coetzee, when his team lost eight Tests of 12.
Eben Etzebeth mentioned: "The team must banish from their minds the idea that we are always going to struggle in Argentina.
"We need to prepare well, get our mind-set right and believe we can go there and win."
The only change the Boks made was scrumhalf Francois Hougaard replacing Ross Cronje, whereas Argentina coach Daniel Hourcade made six to the team with two being injury related.
“We have to secure the ball and hold on to it", Hourcade stressed. "We cannot spend most of the match defending, as we did in South Africa."
Meanwhile, Coetzee mentioned: "As with previous Tests this year, we must show patience, hunger and a desire to execute our game plan.”
