Sharks scrumhalf Rory Kockott was on Wednesday cleared of an act contrary to good sportsmanship following a Disciplinary Hearing in Durban.

Kockott was cited, following an offence of grinding his knees to the face of Blue Bulls player Wilhelm Steenkamp during his side's 19-13 victory over the Pretoria team in a Currie Cup Premier Division match.

The Sharks scrumhalf appeared before Judicial Officer Dekker Govender at a hearing which took place in Durban.

Kockott was represented at the hearing by his legal representative Rudolf Straeuli .

The Judicial Officer reviewed the available evidence and concluded that Kockott had not intentionally pushed his knees in the face of the Bulls player.

As a result, Kockott was cleared of any foul play and was selected in the Sharks starting line-up for their Currie Cup fixture against the Free State Cheetahs in Bloemfontein on Friday.
