Bulls gets a boost

With no new injuries and the return of several of their more senior players the Blue Bulls will be a confident unit when they arrive in Bloemfontein on Friday for a Currie Cup crunch match against the Free State Cheetahs.
Bulls team doctor Org Strauss confirmed that there are no injury concerns in the team, following last Friday's impressive 50-18 victory over the Boland Cavaliers.
All the players that were involved in the match will be eligible for this Friday's clash against the Cheetahs and there is a good possibility that lock Fudge Mabeta as well as utility back Francois Hougaard will be available for selection.
Hougaard is recovering from a groin injury and Mabeta's ankle wasn't 100 percent last week, but Strauss said both will be able to play against the Free State.
The other good news is that senior players like Deon Stegmann, Pedrie Wannenburg, Akona Ndungane and Burton Francis could also come into consideration for the starting XV.
Stegmann and Wannenburg played off the bench against the Cavaliers last week, after missing the earlier rounds through injury.
Francis, who started in the opening match of the season, injured his knee and lasted only about 30 minutes. He could be considered for a bench role.
