Stormers captain Jean de Villiers believes his team are capable of winning all four of their Super 14 matches overseas — this after a comprehensive 34-16 victory over the Reds in Brisbane on Saturday.
The Reds win was the Stormers' first of the season, but De Villiers is confident that the Cape franchise can carry on that winning momentum overseas.
"We believe we can do it," he told thestormers.com.
"To play the Blues in Auckland will be an extremely tough assignment.
"They are in good form," the Springbok centre added.
The Stormers face the Chiefs in Hamilton on Friday, and De Villiers is well aware of the threat that they pose.
"They have fantastic individuals, players with great finishing ability.
"We can't afford to give them any attacking opportunities," De Villiers said.
But he admitted that there was no lack of confidence in the camp after the Brisbane performance.
"We believe we can play better than we did against the Reds.
"We still made too many errors but it is fantastic to have our first win behind us," he added.
The Stormers are currently in Auckland, where they are preparing for the Chiefs clash before travelling to Hamilton on Thursday.
They then return to Auckland for the match against the Blues before tackling the Western Force in Perth on 28 March.
