Springbok and Blue Bulls midfielder Wynand Olivier was arrested on Sunday for exceeding an 80km/h speed limit on the N1 at the Olifantsfontein off-ramp.
Olivier was apparently travelling at 164km/h from Johannesburg to Pretoria just after midnight on Saturday when the Johannesburg Metro Police caught him for speeding.
He was briefly detained at the Midrand Police Station then released on R500 police bail.
Springbok team management told iafrica.com that the matter will be handled internally and no further comment will be made on the matter.
