Springbok scrumhalf Ricky Januarie faces arrest by the police, after he failed to appear in court on Friday.

The Cape Argus newspaper reports that warrant of arrest has been issued for the Bok number nine, Januarie, who has been charged with drunken driving.

The warrant follows after neither he nor his lawyer arrived at court on Friday.

He was arrested in Durbanville, Cape Town in September 2008 for drink-driving.

Januarie's arrest last year was the second time in 2008 that he had landed in trouble due to alcohol abuse.
