Blues coach David Nucifora has made several changes, including drafting Nick Evans back into the starting XV, to the team to take on the Bulls in a Super 14 Round Seven match at Eden Park, Auckland, on Saturday.

Evans, who cried off shortly before the dramatic 17-14 win over the Stormers last week, has finally recovered from the concussion he suffered against the Western Force in Week Five.

With Evans back in the No.10 jersey, Isaia Toeava returns to centre — after playing at flyhalf last week. Ben Atiga, who played at centre, drops back down to the bench.

Other changes see Jerome Kaino moving to No. 8, starting in place of Nick Williams. Justin Collins moves into the flank position vacated by Kaino.

"Nick has had a heavy workload so far in the season and will take bit of a breather on the bench first up," Nucifora said.

"The same applies to Anthony Tuitavake, who will be rested completely this week also," the coach added.

Joe Rokocoko comes off the bench to start on the right wing in place of Tuitavake, Toeava starts at outside centre in place of Atiga and Evans starts at flyhalf in the backline changes.

Nick White, who makes way for Tony Woodcock at loosehead prop, and Bronson Murray will cover the front row on the bench. Tom McCartney will be getting some game time with his club Pakuranga.

"We've given Tom the opportunity to run a full 80 minutes with his club to get some decent time on the field," Nucifora said.

Lock Anthony Boric also returns to the matchday 22, starting on the bench.
