Free State Cheetahs flyer Jongi Nokwe is aiming to use his Currie Cup form to put his hand up for inclusion in the Springbok squad for the year-end tour.
The Boks are likely to take an extended squad on tour at the end of the year which will strengthen Nokwe's chances of regaining a spot.
His work-rate has often been criticised in the past but it has improved steadily so far this season while his ability under the high ball has also improved significantly.
His finishing ability has never been in doubt and he scored a hat-trick against Griquas last weekend and is currently the top try scorer in the tournament- which he hopes will catch the eye of Bok coach Peter de Villiers.
"I would like to get back in the Springbok group after the Currie Cup, therefore I play as hard as I can every Saturday," he told Volksblad.
He is also hoping to put some pressure on incumbent Bok number 11, Bryan Habana.
"Bryan is a world class wing and my goal is to put pressure on him.
"He must know that there are players that are fighting for his Bok jersey."
