Premier Soccer League (PSL) Chief Executive Kjetil Siem said that Kaizer Chiefs are likely to face disciplinary action for the goalkeeper jersey saga that marred 'Amakhosi's clash with old foes Orlando Pirates.

As players were walking out of the tunnel for Saturday's Soweto derby, referee Harry Lekitlane, spotted that Arthur Bartman's grey/black shirt clashed with the Pirates kit.

This led to a 15-minutes delay of kick-off as Chiefs, who were the home team, said the onus was on the 'Buccaneers' to change their strip despite protocol dictating otherwise.

In the pre-match meeting 'Amakhosi' had agreed that Bartman would wear green but team manager Bobby Motaung refused to back down when his goalkeeper came out donning the wrong colours.

Bartman eventually changed into his blue training jersey so the match could get underway and swapped it for a green one after the half-time break.

But this has done little to allay the PSL who are likely to launch action against the 'Glamour Boys'.

"We will be informing the prosecutor (Zola Majavu), and he'll decide whether Chiefs would be charged or not," Siem told Football365.co.za.

"We will also wait for reports from the referee and match commissioner (Steve Goddard) before anything could be considered."

The disciplinary committee office is an all too familiar room for Chiefs who this season already have had two disputes settled by the league's prosecutor Majavu.

They were heavily fined for crowd trouble at Newlands Stadium earlier in the season and also needed a resolution with regards to defender Tshifhiwa Mmbooi who inexplicably had signed for them and Jomo Cosmos in the off season.
