Andile Jali believes Orlando Pirates can still win the Absa Premiership title despite their recent slump that has seen them go six matches without a win.
Bucs started the season in fine fashion, keeping seven clean sheets in their first seven matches, but now they have only scored two goals in their last six encounters.
Jali told Football365.co.za: "I think there are chances of us winning the league. At the moment people are talking about Pirates saying 'Pirates is doing badly' but we know things like this happen and we are going to achieve something."
The 'Buccaneers' will want to get back to winning ways when they host a confident Maritzburg United.
He said: "I can't say we will win or lose that match but I can say our match against Maritzburg United will be bigger than the game we played against Kaizer Chiefs on the weekend."
The 19-year-old featured in his first Soweto showdown against 'Amakhosi', where he had a stellar performance competing against Tinashe Nengomasha.
"I was confident playing in my first derby as I knew many people were watching that match. The more supporters come to watch me play the more confident I get," he concluded.
