Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Prince Olomu differs with the perception that the second round of the league is always difficult, as teams battle for the title and some fight to avoid the dreaded relegation axe.
However, the Nigerian, who is sitting on nine goals in 15 starts halfway into the season, believes the next 15 games could be the easiest for 'Siwelele'.
"I disagree with the people who say the second round is difficult. For me, it is the easier of the two, because by then you know the strengths and weaknesses of your opposition and also as a team, it is a case of righting the wrongs of the first round, which is not difficult, because we know what we did wrong," Olomu explains to Football365.co.za.
The 22-year-old further tells this website that he expects to add to his nine goals.
"Anything is possible with God and I do believe that I will enter the second round much stronger than I was in the first round. I believe I'm getting better as a player and there is nothing stopping me, especially because I have a support of a great coach in Owen da Gama," he said.
The former Free State Stars player also believes Celtic will finish in the top three.
"That's where I want to see Celtic on the log by the end of the season. We have a very good team, so I don't see any reason why it can't happen. We did very well in the first round and now it is basically to continue the good work that we did," Olomu adds.
Celtic's next fixture is away to neighbours Free State Stars in the derby at the Charles Mopeli stadium and Olomusaid he is ready to put one over his former employers.
