Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Mark Mayambela is reportedly on his way to Orlando Pirates in a deal that will see Tlou Segolela remain with 'Phunya Sele Sele'.

Mayambela has been linked with a big-money move to Mamelodi Sundowns and the Buccaneers after impressing with Phunya Sele Sele over the last eighteen months.

Celtic CEO Ikie Augousti told this website that negotiations are underway and that a deal could be concluded this week.

"Nothing has been confirmed yet, but the teams are currently in talks and we are in individual talks with the different players," he said.

The mooted deal will see the 22-year-old midfielder Mayambela move to Parktown while on-loan Segolela will complete a permanent move to Celtic.

"Currently the deal on the table is Mark Mayambela to Orlando Pirates and we keep Tlou Segolela," explained Augousti.

"If it goes that way the deal is two to three days from being completed. It looks more likely than not that the deal will go through."
