Moroka Swallows striker Siyabonga Nomvete has dedicated his PSL Player of the Month award to his coach Rainer Zobel.
Speaking to Football365.co.za after winning the prize, the former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates marksman was clearly grateful to the German mentor.
"He is the man who believes in me through and through. He's given me so much hope that I must never give up on my Bafana dream. I want to wear the national team jersey again and my coach always tells me there is nothing difficult about going back there."
Nomvete scored four league goals in the Dube Birds' last six of matches of the campaign and has now set his sights on a return to the national team.
Capped 72 times at senior international level, 'Bhele' believes he still has a lot to offer the Bafana team.
"I have the experience and I know that once given a chance again I'm going to prove that I'm still the same Nomvete people know from the past," he added.
"But I don't forget that I first have to do well for Swallows and then everything will follow. But on the other hand I'm never going to give up on my Bafana dream. Age is just a number mfowethu. What matters is that I stay fit and wait for my chance. I will be patient until it comes."
The Durban-born striker revealed that he wants to top the scoring charts next season.
"The more I play as a striker the more I'm going to score.
"My aim is to finish as the top scorer next season and with coach Zobel on my side nothing is impossible. I know I can do it. We must just wait and see, but I'm more than capable of achieving something once I put my heart into it. This award is a big motivation for me and it makes me realise that there is more I can still achieve in this game," concluded Nomvete.
