Free State Stars goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene is confident his side can beat Kaizer chiefs when they face them in the league.

Ea Lla Koto go into the match confident at the back of a 1-0 win against AmaZulu.

He told the club's website: "It's not going to be an easy game and I don't want to talk too much about that game but what I can tell you is we are ready for Chiefs. We are going to do what we did last season in the corresponding fixture."

After a disastrous start Stars booked their second win against Usuthu, both wins coming from home.

"It felt very good to be back on winning ways especially playing at home. Everybody was over the moon about the win it was also good to once again see smiles on our supporters face.

"Looking at our last two matches and judging by the moral and the spirit in the camp I can positively say we have indeed turned the corner. The team is starting to gel and we have put the past dismal performances behind our backs," he said.
