This game is of vital importance to both teams and it will be interesting to see the tactics employed by opposing coaches Ian Gorowa and Craig Rosslee, both of whom are former youth coaches at the Ajax Academy.

Gorowa is familiar not only with the Ajax system, but also the young players in the Ajax senior team, having coached numerous players during his stint at Ikamva as the Under-13 and U19 coach.

Rosslee, however, has done a remarkable job as head coach of the 'Urban Warriors' this season, with Ajax currently on top of the log after eight matches - with five wins, two draws and only one defeat.

And, according to Ajax PRO Shooz Mekuto, these results show that Ajax are well on track to challenge the perennial frontrunners for a permanent, season-ending spot at the top of the table.

"We would do well to get points against Swallows at home as they are a quality team," Mekuto told the official Ajax website this week. "The onus is on Ajax to score early and take the game to the visitors. It's a vital game for both teams as there are only four points separating them."

He added: "We would like to take this opportunity to open a lead at the top of the table. It is still early days, however points in the bag are better than games in hand."

Meanwhile, Swallows striker Sandile Ndlovu believes that the 'Dube Birds' have the quality within their ranks to win them the 2007/08 Absa Premiership trophy.

"Swallows are an iconic institution and to be unable to win the league in more than four decades is bad," Ndlovu told The Citizen newspaper.

"This crop of players will try hard to win the league and we must show that against Ajax. They are on top and beating them will mean so much to us," he concluded.
