Selolwane has a wealth of experience, having played on three continents.
He moved from Botswana to the United States as a young player where he joined the Harris-Stowe State College football team. He also enjoyed spells at St Louis University, Chicago Fire and Real Salt Lake. Dipsy also played for Vejle BK in Denmark, before returning to play in the MSL
Selolwane arrived in South Africa from Real Salt Lake (MSL, United States) in 2005 and signed for city rivals, Santos. He enjoyed a successful opening spell with the 'People's Team', before moving to Jomo Cosmos.
Craig Rosslee, Ajax CT's coach, said: "We are very excited to sign a player of the calibre of Dipsy Selolwane.
"He is an experienced PSL campaigner and we managed to secure his services ahead of a few other clubs. He has loads of talent and adds another dimension to our strike force in partnership with Sifiso Vilakazi, Russell Mwafulirwa and Nathan Paulse."
Selolwane, himself, added: "I am excited to join Ajax Cape Town as I am looking for a new start to kick off my football career. Ajax has always been a good footballing side and I hope to do well for my new team. Ajax is an ambitious club and I aim to be part of their future successes."
Ajax CEO John Comitis was delighted with Selolwane's signing, especially with star Ajax striker 'Tera' Fanteni heading to Isreal.
"The most important thing is that we were very worried about the loss of 'Tera' and with the recent acquisition of Sifiso, and now Dipsy, we are more than prepared to challenge for honours in the next six months," said Comitis.
Dipsy, of course, is a Botswana international and has captained his national team on a number of occasions.
