"This is the kind of teams we need to play, it will be a good test for us," Da Gama said. "They're on top of the log, they've lost only once and obviously they're a team we want to beat."

Ajax have won seven games, two more than Pirates, and have 24 points from their 11 games. Da Gama praised coach Craig Rosslee, who joined the senior team at the beginning of the season, for his sterling work.

"Craig has done a very good job in his first season and the Ajax players have gone from strength to strength. This is the team that will give us an idea of our progress and strength," he said.

Da Gama was also happy to report no injuries to key players and also said that Ralf Matema and Manuel Bucuane are training with the team.

"Ralf and Tico-Tico are back and this is very good for us. There is not one player whose place is guaranteed in this team and they all know this.

"Players who do well at training are given a chance to show their worth in the first team," he said referring to defender Destin Makita, who started last Sunday's game before Lehlohonolo Seema.

"But I am happy with all my players performance at training, they are keeping each other on their toes."

Kick-off is scheduled for 3.30pm on Saturday.
