AmaZulu coach Neil Tovey is optimistic they can move away from the bottom of the league after enduring a bad start that has saw them lose three consecutive matches.

They have a chance to do so and avenge their two defeat when they face rivals Golden Arrows.

AmaZulu have been beaten twice so far by Arrows, both defeats coming from the MTN 8 Cup.

Tovey told the club's official website: "Going into the derby, we know we need to work to collectively for the club. We have been playing good football lately, except for Sunday's match, now we just need to convert that into points.

"They are very good side but they themselves have not won a lot of games. We know what to expect from them, and want to stamp our authority on the match and remind people that AmaZulu are good side that can beat anyone on their day."

'Usuthu' have lost their last three fixtures with the last coming against Mpumalanga Black Aces. Tovey has vowed to improve the club's position in the league starting with the match against their local neighbours Arrows.

"This week will be good one for us to get back on our destiny and it won't be long until we're back on the top eight again.

"We have had a chat with the players - the whole technical team in trying to iron out the negativity. I believe the talk came out well and will benefit the team.

"I want to see a good results too, and just like the fans, I want to see the team out of that bottom position," he said.
