AmaZulu have it all to play for when they take on Moroka Swallows in Durban in an Absa Premiership clash at the Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3.30pm).

Although it is early in the season, 'Usuthu' find themselves in the worst position at the bottom of the league table. Presently in 16th place on only five points, AmaZulu are in unfamiliar territory and will lay it all on the line to gain a victory against Swallows.

Having lost six of their nine Absa Premiership matches thus far in the season, ?Usuthu? look to be on a downward spiral out of the South Africa?s top flight league. In their most recent match, AmaZulu went down 1-0 to Golden Arrows despite arguably being the better team on the night. They simply could not convert their chances in front of goal.

"I congratulate Arrows for the win...but this game can be very cruel. I thought we did not deserve this result," AmaZulu coach Neil Tovey told the club's official website.

He added: "All is not lost ? for example Free State Stars had the same problem (last season) but fought back hard and finished in position five.

"There is still a lot of football to be played. I could at least sense that Wednesday night's performance was a much more spirited one."

Swallows have also had a poor start to the season and see themselves sitting in 13th position on the league table on eight points. In their last league match, they played to a scoreless draw against Bloemfontein Celtic.

The 'Birds' and AmaZulu have faced each other 40 times in official league matches since 1985. Of those games, Swallows have won 17 whereas ?Usuthu? have only won eight.

In the corresponding fixture last season, Swallows managed a 2-0 win over AmaZulu, but ?Usuthu? were able to exact some revenge in the reverse fixture with a 1-0 win.
