Speculation is mounting that former Bafana Bafana coach Carlos Alberto Parreira could be about to return to the post he vacated last year.

The South African Football Association (Safa) is undecided on whether to name Bafana's new coach on Friday.

It has been reported they have not been able to secure the Brazilian?s signature despite making him an offer.

Bafana are currently without a coach, after Joel Santana parted ways with SAFA on Monday.

Some fans say Parreira should not return.

"I think South Africa is wasting a lot of money; he is earning more than the president," said one person.

"Parreira is coming back because he does not have a job," said another.

Meanwhile, Kickoff.com is reporting Parreira has already arrived in South Africa and will be the new Bafana coach.
