Mpumalanga Black Aces two-goal hero Clifford Mulenga has promised to work harder after helping his side defeat AmaZulu 2-0.

The former Bidvest Wits striker scored a brace to help his side record their second win in the league and made him the club's top goalscorer with three goals.

He told the club's official website: "It is all about the hard work I have put in since I joined Aces.

"I will continue with this form as long as I am injury free and in the team. My job is to create and score goals. It is all about being at the right place at the right time

The win comes after they drew their previous encounter against Free State Stars, where they created many chances but failed to convert them.

"The coach had pushed us very hard to rectify our problems up front. He particularly worked on our finishing. I hope we can work on such high standards to prove that we are not in the PSL to make numbers."

"The fans needed back the smiles and we as players are happy that we rewarded their loyal support. I personally I am glad that I am steadily repaying the club for giving me a chance."

The 22-year-old opened his account his account against Free State Stars followed by the brace, which he dedicated to his daughter.

"Every goal is very special to me. With the goals I scored on Sunday, it is a special dedication to my baby girl. She turns a month old tomorrow," he said.
